Ft. Lauderdale airport to Miami terminal

can anyone advise the best way to get from Ft. Lauderdale airport to the Miami cruise terminal. I've heard of the tri rail system but don't know much about it. Or would a cab be cost effective?

With a group of up to seven you can get a shuttle for $95 for everyone.

I have heard that a taxi from FLL to the Miami Port area can run about $70. My next cruise leaves from Miami but my closest airport has Jet Blue which goes direct into Fort Lauderdale. I'm thinking of renting a car at FLL and returning it near the port.

I recommend going to the East Coast Departures board, then to the sub-forum for Florida departures. This question is a regular one on that board and there are locals who will give you plenty of specifics.

For one to four passengers, use goshuttle. After picking up your luggage, go out and ask a goshuttle employee for a ride to the port. $64 total for 1-4 people for a towncar, or if you want to share a ride, $18 per person in a town car or a full sized van(which hold either 8-10 people). No reservbations needed.........if flying into FLL and staying in a hotel in Miami precruise, goshuttle will take you same prices to downtown Miami hotels.
