waverunners in Labadee/Malfini Beach

Recommended Posts

I am cruising on the Grandeur of the Seas this summer, and I have been looking at the waverunner excursion thru Royal Caribbean in Labadee, Haiti. I was wondering, is it a good idea to book these ahead of time, or are there waverunners on the beach for rent when you get there?

Also, does anyone have any opinions on whether to stay on the beach where they drop you off, or is it a better idea to take the Malfini Beach excursion?

Thanks for any help!!!

We did the waverunner excursion at Labadee last year, and I believe we booked it online. Don't remember if there would have been a problem booking it once we got there, but if you know you want to do it, I would go ahead and book it.

As for the beach excursion, I'm not sure what that would get you that you couldn't just do on your own. The staff there will get you a chair (tip them), and I believe for $5-10 I got an ocean matt. The buffet lunch there is great- we had a lovely day.

When you do the waveruuner excursion, you will be in a 'follow the leader' group--you can't just rent one and do your own thing. Faster riders in front, slowpokes in back. Once you get to a designated "spot", you will have to wait for the laggers in the pack to catch up (or catch up with the speedy ones, as the case may be!)

Hubby did it once--he waited until the end of the day, and signed up right on the beach. If you don't care one way or the other, just wait! If it's a "must do", then book it in advance.

If you want to do your own thing, do it at a different port!
