Which beach for us?

Hello everyone.

We'd love to get some suggestions to help find a beach that suits us...any help is appreciated! Here's what we're looking for:

Somewhat quiet...looking for something that isn't crawling with cruise ship people. Don't want jet skis, trampolines, etc.

We have a toddler so something that isn't rough (or has some calm areas) and maybe the ability to rent chairs and an umbrella.

Has a beach bar...just looking for a shack to get beer, drinks, and some munchies.

Any ideas? We're sort of leaning towards Worthing, Rockley/Accra, or maybe Needhams...we'll have a van so we can check out multiple spots.

Thanks in advance,

Chris:cool:

I would suggest the far end of Accra/Rockly Beach. There is a new beach bar there, but also a guy who rents chairs and umbrellas. The water is fairly "sheltered" so it's mostly flat in that area. there are some waves, but depending on the age of the toddler it will likely be ok.

Enjoy.

we too are looking for a beach (decided to cancel the ships excursion to save some $) - nothing like waitng till the last minute

We are in our 40's, with 9, 13 and 17 yrl old, and elderly mother in law.

So - we are looking for:

chairs/shade/umbrellas

the trampoline stuff is probably okay for the older kids and husband loves to kayak

Snacks/drink bar on the beach

not too hard to get to from the port

Any help with our last minute change of plans is GREATLY appreciated!!

sounds like the boatyard would be perfect.nice beach, chairs ,bar, trampolines even an ice burg to climb and not far from the ship.also only pay the enterence fee if you want to use the facilities ie trampolines ice burg.the ones that do just buy a ticket for them and the rest of the group walk through lobster alive and hire a lounger for 5 dollars the beaches are public so you dont have to pay for all of you.:)

wow - so we can go to Lobster Alive (walk in for free), then walk over to the Boatyard, and pay for the kids to play on the trampolines, etc, pay for our lounge chairs (for the adults) - and that's it? Can you walk back and forth (like for seafood?)

Thanks so much for you prompt reply and info!

too far to walk from ship unless your health freaks although as the crow flies its not far.boat yard is next door to lobster alive and they obviously share the same beach.i think the boat yard entitles you to a chair use of water toys and a couple of drinks you could maybe use the kids loungers from the boatyard entrance fee and not even hire lobster alive chairs . but their part of the beach will be quiter.the kids will love it hey i love it :D
