ncmomof2 Posted April 6, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Well, we cruised when DD was 3.5 and when DS was 1 mo short of 3, so we have BTDT. So, here's a brain dump... -- we convinced our DD to go to Camp Carnival by telling her we were going to sit in the cabin and read books -- she was afraid she'd miss something , she had a great time after she was there, though, see... -- DS was happy to go since his sister was, but he'd get mad when her group was in a different room -- again, afraid he'd miss something! Luckily, we were with friends who had a child his age, so they were usually happy to go together -- he still (9 mos later) talks about Funship Freddie coming out of the bathroom! -- both kids loved being able to pick multiple courses in the dining room -- don't bring many toys with you, you won't need them -- some cheap beach toys can be a good idea -- bringing a sippy cup, a nightlight, and a clock is very helpful --remember that Camp Carnival doesn't have a naptime, so if your DS still needs a nap, you'll have to bring him back to your cabin -- whether it's in the pool, Camp Carnival, or in port, you and he will have a great time The first 2 pics are in Grand Cayman, 2nd at the Turtle Farm, she also enjoyed swimming with stingrays :O (no pics, since digital cameras and swimming don't mix...), so don't underestimate a little one!
