Rare broberts Posted April 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2008 You should be able to change the name of one of the passengers. If I recall correctly as long as one name stays the same from the original booking its okay. There may be a small charge ($50?) to do this. Contact the cruise line or your travel agent to find out for sure.
CruiserRose Posted April 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2008 we have been able to do this in the past. Call yoiur TA or your PVP ASAP and talk to them to make sure. Find out cutoff date. and find a buddy. and enjoy.
cruisnpat Posted April 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Yes you should be able to do a name change. What was she thinking? Breaking up when their was a cruise in the planning. If you need someone to go with you just let me know the date of the cruise and I'll be ready. :D :D :D
Kris7562 Posted April 7, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 7, 2008 My girlfirend and I broke up and the crusie we were suposed to go on was already paid in full by me...however could i take a buddy instead of her so I dont eat the 1200$$$??? I have a cruise booked next January, and my cousin intends to go with me. However, she is a first year resident, and has to get her time off approved, so she put in for that week and has to wait to hear back if she can take it or not. I asked my TA prior to booking how to handle this, and she said as long as it's not too close to the cruise date, we would have no problem changing the name. I am cruising in January, and she said I would most likely be able to change the name up until December with no penalty.
BigMember Posted April 7, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2008 ...however could i take a buddy instead of her so I dont eat the 1200$$$??? If your cruise is booked for next January, you should be able to get a refund in full. I'm pretty sure you have up to 70 days before the cruise to cancel and still receive a full refund. And by the way - sorry to hear about your girlfriend! She's clearly not very smart anyway - breaking up before a cruise and all ;) You'll have more fun with your buddy anyway!
