Nymue Posted April 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Can someone tell me what is available in the way of Specialty Dining on RCCL ships? We sail mostly Princess. We have been on some older RCCL ship and loved the experience we have had the few times on Royal. We want to try a longer cruise on a new ship. wrp96 Posted April 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2008 RCCL has Chops which is a steakhouse and Portofino which serves italian cuisine but they aren't on all the ships Going from oldest to newest: Sovereign class - no specialty restaurants, unless you count Johnny Rocket's on Sovereign of the Seas Vision class - Enchantment of the Seas has Chops; there are no specialty restaurants on the rest of the Vision class Radiance class - has both Chops and Portofino Voyager class - Voyager, Explorer, and Adventure only have Portofino; Mariner and Navigator have both Chops and Portofino Freedom class - have both Chops and Portofino Note: Voyager class and Radiance class actually were built in the same time frame

Sequim88 Posted April 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Go to www.RoyalCaribbean.com and under "Plan a Cruise" select Activities and then Dining. In addition to the list above for Freedom class (Freedom, Liberty and soon Independence) have just about everything else any of the others do except.... Jade (Asian buffet) on Mariner and Navigator (and Monarch?) and Seaview Cafe on Brilliance, Jewel, Radiance and Serenade. Not really a specialty restaurant but one more alternative that a lot of people seem to recommend.
