ferry to Playa Del Carmen

Does anyone know the cost of the ferry to Playa Del Carmen from Cozumel? Also do you know how ofter the ferry runs? We will be on a cruise ship and we were thinking of going over there. I was there several years ago and loved Playa Del Carmen. Thanks for your help.

The ferry is $14pp roundtrip and runs basically every hour. I like Playa but I don't know that I would leave Cozumel to go there.

The current rate is $9 each way. There are two ferry companies, and they while they don't run every hour, there are very few hours they do not. I recommend purchasing one way tickets in case you go over with one ferry company and return with the other. Neither will honor the return half of a round trip ticket from the "other" company.
