wi fi in cabins on librty

does anyone know the deal on this? is there access from our cabin if we bring our laptop and what is the cost if any? i thought i once read if you were in a suite it was free?

My husband did this last year but don't remember the cost. But do know it was a waste of money because it was VERY slow. You basically had to get on late at night (after 1 AM) to have any speed. We will not do this again. Hope this helps.

I´m not sure what the cost is right now. I can only post what the cost WAS.

The cost for Wi-Fi access through your own laptop is:

Base rate is $.50 per minute or choose from one of our prepaid packages:

$25.00 for 60 minutes

$35.00 for 90 minutes

$50.00 for 150 minutes

 

This used to be the cost for Internet access though recent reports have been that the per minute rate was raised to $.55 per minute. In accordance I guess the package rates are different as well.

DH and I have pretty much given up on using the internet while on board. Horribly slow. We look for an internet cafe in port. Rates are usually quite cheap, and the service much faster. Just ask in one of the shops near the dock and someone can usually point you in the right direction. :)

Is the internet cafe faster on board as opposed to wifi? I was planning to bring my laptop to check company email. I also have a Verizon Wireless aircard....will that work in certain ports?
