Tipping Survey

Just trying to figure out what the appropriate tip is, if any, on excursions.

Two excursions we are going on will be run by the "owner" of the Company. Do you tip the "owner" when you have already paid the them for the event? If they bring an assistant or a helper, I would imagine they would get tipped?

We have bears for $500/pp and fishing for $250/pp. I usually tip my hairdresser 20% but that seems quite extreme. Help me so I don't mess up!!!

I don't know if there is any particular guide on what to tip or IF to tip/not tip. I think if you really appreciated the service that was given (even though you paid for the tour), then tip accordingly. We've had times that our guide was so exceptional, we tipped what we felt in our hearts. Other times the tour and/or guide was terrible and we didn't tip at all. I say do what you feel in your heart.

I don't think 15% for a tip is warranted. We pay around $20 - $40 for great

service for our party.

On a $500 excursion to pay $75.00 per person I feel is too much.

I pay on meals a 15% tip. But when you look at hundred of dollar$ for

a tip, in addition to the excursion. I just think its too much.
