Michuck Posted April 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I'll be at CocoCay on the Sovereign, the same day that the Voyager will be there. Normally, RCCL only has 1 ship at a time at the Cay. Anyone have any input as to whether there's enough 'room' on CocoCay for all those passengers (i.e., bar-b-que lines, beach chairs, floats, etc.)? It seems to me that it would be kinda tight. . . The Voyager is going to CocoCay instead of Labadee because of the unrest in Haiti. Think we should just stay onboard that day? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks... Cruising89143 Posted April 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I've only been to Coco Cay once and that was on the Majesty OTS but I don't think that I would want to be on that island with almost 6000 other passengers. flamingosun Posted April 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Awww shoot... at least you're not battling various factions in Haiti. Just go ashore, and if it's workable from your point of view, then stay on CocoCay for the day. If not, then take the first tender back. Play it by ear. I'm sure you'll find something wonderful to do either way. Have a wonderful cruise. Michuck Posted April 2, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Thing is, I'm not on the Voyager - I'm on the Sovereign. I'd rather not be 'squished' and crowded, and wait on long lines on the island and wind up spending the day on the ship if I only have a total 2 full days away. Actually, it's not such a big deal to me, but I'm going with a friend who's never been on RCCL before, and I've been raving about how easy everything is, even on the Cay - no lines, etc. "til Majesty with Hubby... Michuck Posted April 2, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted April 2, 2004 On April 25th, the Voyager is scheduled to be in CocoCay on the same day as Sovereign. . . that's been confirmed by RCCL. They told me that "CocoCay is a very large island and things should be okay". "Should" I think being the operative word. "til Majesty with Hubby...
