Cruising with out credit cards?

The only problem a cruise line has with "debit" cards is if it is truley debit (which some peolpe choose to have set on their card when they open their checking account), then there could be a $500/day limit. Most people now have debit cards that can be used anywhere as a credit card, which allows up to $5000/day in various charges. Make sure, whether you have a debit or credit card, to call your provider and notify them that you are going out of county and plan on using that card. You don't want to have to spend $6 or $7 a minute trying to get a hold off your card because there were some "unusual" charges!

We have cc but dont want to add to our already debit. We also dont really plan on spending too much money. I was going to pay for my tips up front for the week. If you purchase items at the gift store lets say, you cant just pull out you cc and use it.
