I'm sorry; I can't help you with your first question, as I've never used the in-cabin babysitting.

 

Club HAL has programs in the following age ranges: 3-7, 8-12, and 13-17. (Children must be potty-trained).

 

By the way, Skywalkervadar, I've used your wonderful photo diorama of the Half Moon Cay cabanas many times. Thanks so much for making those photos available to the rest of us.:)

Back to in cabin babysitting.....it's been too many years since I last checked. My best guess is that it's in the $8-10 an hour range. In cabin sitting needs to be arranged and times negotiated, immediatley upon boarding.

We were recently on the Westerdam with three girls (7, 6 and 6.) Club Hal was open evenings from 7-10 with sitting availbale afterwards for $5 per hour per child. The kids loved the counselors (turned babysitters after 10 pm.) We did not read about in room babysitting but it would not be suprised to find it was available.
