Cabin upgrades--- NOS

My dh and I are sailing for our honeymoon in one week and are currently booked in a interior stateroom (75-- something) which I am not in any way thrilled about. We have a little more money in our bank account now than when we booked a year ago and are curious as to how likely it is that we can upgrade (I'm not talking about getting a free upgrade, but paying the difference).

 

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should we call now, ask at the port, wait to get on the ship, etc? Thanks for any info you can provide us!!

 

Also, please tell me what deck you prefer and if it is best to be in the front/middle/back of the ship! Thanks again!!
