BeagleMommy Posted October 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2004 I've tried to find out on NCL's site but haven't had much luck. Does anyone know if they offer any "refresher" courses on the Sea? :D Thanks!!
ColoradoLad Posted October 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2004 Howdy! The Norwegian Sea has several options. Roatan The "Discover SCUBA" is a 4 hour intro to SCUBA You get 20 minutes under the water and can go up to 40 feet but average 10-15. Additiional time is $30, the cost is over $200 Milli my wife is doing this on Nov 1 st or so, so if you sail later we can report The other SCUBA options all required certification. So you get to diver, have classes but not a PADI course. Great for Milli as she has not dived for 25 years (not an item in Colorado) but we both grew up on the Gulf and for me in the Caribbean..... Good Luck! Post and I will follow up
BeagleMommy Posted October 8, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Hello from Longmont, ColoradoLad! :D Thanks for responding - I appreciate the info. At least that tells me that they DO instruction onboard. Of course I'm sure it would be cheaper to do a refresher here before we go... But nice to know there might be some option. We sail the "Sea" on 11/27/04, so I'd love to hear any more info you have when you get back - diving, or any other. I'm LOVING all the "tips & tricks" people put out over on the general NCL site. I TOTALLY understand about the whole being landlocked thing. I grew up here in Colo, so I was pushing 30 before I even THOUGHT about diving. And, it's hard to keep the skills up around here. Horsetooth is just too cold!!! At any rate. Thanks again!
