Post cruise hotel near Ft. Lauderdale airport

I'm looking for a hotel near the Ft. Lauderdale Airport post cruise. We have a 6:45 am flight so we need early shuttle service. Does anyone know of a good hotel? Also, what's a good way to get to Miami from Ft. Lauderdale airport and then back to Ft. Lauderdale hotel from Miami?

We just came back from our cruise on the Caribbean Princess, and stayed at The Sheraton Ft Lauderdale Airport. I got it on Hotwire for $149. We stayed one night post-cruise.Nice hotel. Clean. We were worried a little about airplane noise, but never noticed it.Had a great time playing tennis there, they have courts out back. They had a shuttle service that starts at 6am, we also had an early flight out. As far as getting back & forth, you can rent a vehicle from budget, at Airport, drop it off in Miami.Then just do the same thing getting back to Ft lauderdale afterwards.:) Jax

The Hampton Inn Airport North also has 24 hour shuttle. It recently had a AAA rate of $116.00.
