Do you ..yourself....have to sail on 10 cruises to attain Platinum status or do they tally the cruises you may have paid for for others ? I will have sailed on 2 cruises but paid for 6 others. :rolleyes:

I think that it would have to be your cruises, because the guest numbers are in the names of the other six persons.

It is the number YOU sailed and not what you paid for. I would have been there sooner too.

Actually you become platinum when you set foot onboard for your 10th cruise, not after your 10th. And yes, it's only for your cruises as it's all based on your past guest number.

What about other cruise line sailings? I have sailed on Princess as well as Carnival, do the two lines count for each other's programs?

No. Only Carnival cruises.
