ruskatab Posted April 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Ive read in several places that there is a dress code for the casinos in SJ. Can men wear dress shorts? We will not be wearing beach attire but dont want to dress up to go gambling. Thanks!

Most me will wear dress slacks and women in dresses. I would think dress shorts would be acceptable but that is a guess on my part.
RichardK Posted April 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I've been fortunate to travel to, and stay for many days, pre-cruise, over the years. Albeit that my point of reference has been Old San Juan (with some Isle Verde thrown in), I find that the locals have a true lust-for-life. They enjoy their music, dance, food, and dress. They are far and away much better dressed than us tourists, when venturing out after dark. I treat "dress up" in Puerto Rico, the same as Casual Night aboard the ship -- i.e., a nice collared shirt, a pair of Dockers, and casual shoes (no sneakers). Seem to fit in just fine................ Enjoy!

rainforestgirl Posted April 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 28, 2008 During the day, you can go in anything you feel like wearing. We have gone in wearing shorts and sneakers, no problem. During the evening/night, people get more dressed. But I don't think they will deny admission or playing no matter what you are wearing any time of day. But you may feel out of place if you are under-dressed.
