Adventure of the Seas - kids pool

I thought I was all set for our Spring Break 2009 cruise (Liberty); then my husband pointed out that the Adventure of the Seas is $1,200 cheaper - enough to possibly offset the higher airfare to San Juan.

But, the kids pool looks strange. On the RCCL website it appears to be under some sort of cover. I'm all for SPF, but we'd all like to spend our Spring Break pool time in the sun. Is the whole thing shaded? Anyone have any pictures? Thanks!
