Cost from FLL Airport to Port Everglades and terminal question

We are traveling with 8 people total. What is the best way to get from FLL airport to the port to catch our cruise?

One couple is flying in on a different airline, they will be in terminal 2 while we are in terminal 1. Will that be a problem of trying to meet and coordinate a ride?

It is a very cheap cab ride from the airport to Port Everglades. Actual distance is only a couple of miles.

You shouldn't have any problem finding your friends. There will be lots of taxis available outside of baggage claim. We've never used them, but Go Shuttle has been recommended here on CC.

Take seperate cabs for the 2.5 mile ride from the airport to the cruiseport. Hook up with your friends at the cruiseport, less hassle then trying to meet at differant airport terminals. ;)
