ricsue Posted October 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I have not sailed Princess since May '03, at that time, espresso and capuccino were no extra charge in the dining room. Has that policy changed?
SaylorGirl Posted October 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I'm afraid to say that has changed. When I was on the Dawn last year it was free, I loved it after dinner. Two weeks ago on the Regal there was a charge for it. I think it was either $1.50 or $2.50 I didn't order it.
bjboothman Posted October 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I think it varies from ship to ship and maybe from dining room to dining room. I was not charged for capuccino on the Coral in April, even though I'd read here previously that I would be charged.
Druke I Posted October 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2004 Spring of last year it was free on the Coral Princess, fall of last year there was a charge for "designer" coffees in the dining room on Pacific Princess (new). My wife was told that the new policy was to charge.
NorcalGuy Posted October 7, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2004 Cappucino is $2.01 including gatuity in the Sapphire dining rooms. It was very good though, and much cheaper than at home.
bostonlass Posted October 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2004 Is it available via room service? Might be a viable option to the coffee!
NorcalGuy Posted October 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2004 I would assume it is available for room service, but a charge would apply.
zimmerjulie Posted October 8, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 8, 2004 I'm looking at my dessert menu from the Sapphire last month and it lists Espresso for $1.50 and Cappuccino for $1.85 before gratuity. My husband is a coffee nut and he ordered the cappuccino and liked it. He also liked the free coffee that was available onboard.
