Birthday celebration

Recommended Posts

Check on the RC website. There is much you can purchase and the operative word is purchase. Even birthday cake at dinner is now $7.95. Waiters will sing. If you have a cake for the first night they will deliver it to your room and you must bring it to dinner. You might want to specify want kind. We had two cake for two different things and one was white with maple icing and the other was choclate. You will be told that some got cakes for nothing. It may happen but expect to pay.

A little larger than one slice. Seriously, it's a small cake, around 4 or 5 inches, but you can always ask the waiter to put a candle on a desert off the menu, before he brings the deserts out. They will light a candle and sing
too, if you're not interested in a birthday cake.

If you order a dessert off the menu and ask for a candle to be put into it there is no charge. There is a charge if you order a cake. It's a small cake but on my last cruise we had it for my niece and we were 9 people and it was more than enough. We also had her stateroom decorated. It was great and she loved it. We chose to have the cake in our stateroom on the first day instead of in the dining room. It was fun for her since the room was decorated and all. Also, other friends bought her flowers off the cart in the promenade and had them delivered to the room.

The cost to decorate a cabin is $29. I am not sure if that includes a cake or not. Here is a link to a picture that was posted earlier that shows decorations I think a Bday just gets a different center piece.

I read somewhere that you can get a slice of cake free from the DR but a whole cake is $7.95.

Sleeples, here's the link to RCI's Gifts & Gear page. Stateroom decorations link is on the left, $29 for decorations, $7.95 for a cake. The cake you can specify when, but not sure about the decorations.
