Cruise Deposit Question

Ive been calling around to check on pricing for a group cruise for Jan 09.

WE cruise as a group once a year on Carnival.

 

This is the first time that weve been told the following:

 

Deposit for 1 or 2 occupancy cabins $25

Deposit for triple or quad cabin $250

 

Is this the normal with all travel agents or just the 2 that I happened to call?

 

Not sure how people in my group will fell about that.

Those are the same deposits we have for Cruise Critic cruises... Singles will have to pay the full deposit as will folks booking specific cabins or with more than two in a cabin...
