stephuney Posted May 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2008 I finally got my cabing assignment and I am so excited ... it feels real now! Ok, so I know there is a thread on Legend only questions already, but I just dont have hours to read through that whole thing ... so here are my questions, if someone feels like answering: My cabin is on the Empress deck - is that deck open to the atrium? It looks like it but I cant tell for sure. Does Legend have shuffleboard ... and if so, is it played the same way as table shuffleboard? Does the Legend have SKARY-oke? Like karaoke, but lots funnier? (they had this on Ecstacy) Is the piano bar in the Legend any good? Which shows are a "must-see" on the Legend? What are the different deck parties on the Legend? What is your favorite bar on the Legend and why? Thoughts on the Texas Hold Em tournament? Does anyone have current capers for the Legend? (like in the last month) OK ... my cabin assignment is 4C 6165 - questions about the cabin: What does the 4C mean? On the floor plan, this cabin looks a little bigger than some of the other insides - is it really? I thought I read there is a small frig on the Legend cabins ... does this cabin come with one? Are there other cabin amenities? Since my cabin has already been assigned, is there any chance of it changing? er, upgrading? Thanks for any feedback you have, Stephanie :p :D :p

mattmdv Posted June 14, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 14, 2008 stephuney, Here's some pictures of our "Legends of 5.6.7" cruise from May '06, enjoy: http://community.webshots.com/user/mattmdv Shows not to miss, "The Blues Brothers" Shuffleboard, Yes, unknown about how played. Deck Parties, Yes, several, one that I remember was the "Bathrobe Party" one night, as the name suggests, we wore our bathrobes, you'll see photos of this when you look at my pictures. Favorite bar, All of them, because we were cruising. You will have a great time!! Let us all know how it was upon your return. Wish we were sailing with you!!!! Our time is coming!!! Silc Posted June 14, 2008 #11 Share Posted June 14, 2008 We were on the Legend last September, and will be on her again this September as well. We usually spend a lot of time in the Casino at night, so consequently we spent a lot of time at the casino bar - can't remember what it's called - sorry! Got to know one of the bartenders very well. Wonderful man. Unfortunately, his name escapes me right now. By the second evening, he knew what we wanted without asking, and when he wasn't too busy, would come down and chat with us about the states, his family, and life on a cruise ship. He had some cool bar tricks (like magic tricks for drunk people) that he shared with us - including the secrets to them. I can't answer the fridge question on an inside cabin as we had a balcony. I can tell you that there are blow dryers in all the rooms. BUT if you have thick, curly, or heavy hair, I'd suggest you bring your own. Theirs will get the job done, but it's gonna take some time. I seem to remember seeing scary-oke in the capers one night. But we didn't go. We did go to regular karaoke a couple of times. The host was fair. You've got to search a little to find the karaoke bar. I believe, and I hope I'm not getting my shipd confused, it's all the way forward, under the main show room - Firebird Lounge maybe? I would also highly recommend the supper club - Golden Fleece. It was incredible! Well worth the $30 per person extra. We did go to the Bathrobes and Beer party. Once the crowd got going, it was lots of fun. The band was ok, but after a while nobody cared, and got up and danced anyway! I'm 91 days away, and look forward to your review when you get back! Hope this helps, Silc

ncbuckeyes Posted June 15, 2008 #13 Share Posted June 15, 2008 I am leaving on the Legend in one week...is there a fridge in the balcony cabins? thanks! We were on the Legend last month. Our inside cabin had a minibar/fridge. I've read that some remove items or ask the room steward ... we just put our water/wine around the minibar items with no problem.
