Thanks everyone for the info on Galveston. How far is the airport from the cruise terminal?

Which airport? Houston hobby or Bush International?

 

IAH Bush International is a long ways 50-60 miles. Hobby might be 40 miles.

If you are traveling in on Sat. or Sun you will find traffic light. But Mon-Fri, plan extra, extra time. I-45 can be a nightmare.

2nd. I hate I-45.

 

It's roughly an hour and 15 minutes from Hobby, a little longer from IAH. Once you get into Galveston and onto the Island there's a TON of stoplights, so it slows you down quite a bit :)
