RCI no longer caling on Playa Del Carmen?

I have searched for RCI ships that go to Playa Del Carmen and was unable to find any. I was there in January and really enjoyed the port and would like to go again if RCi has any ships going there.

You can go on any of the ships calling on Cozumel. Playa Del Carmen is about a 30-45 minute ferry ride from there.

They did call there, but not anymore. We were there in January 08. It is such a nice small port, I really liked it. I guess I will have to take a ferry or make it a land trip.

I almost forgot......that there is a harbor just south of Playa....just south of Xcarate. It can take a ship like the Carnival Pride or RCCL Monarch or Sovereign.........on a charter.

 

It is not a regular port stop or call.

Jewel replaced Costa Maya with Playa in December and January, at least. After a hurricane destroyed Costa Maya.

They replaced Costa Maya with Playa Del Carmen in August last year after the hurricane desroyed Costa Maya.We were on the Rhapsody the first week of the change. It was only a temporary change until they could get Costa Maya back to normal.
