shabadoo24 Posted May 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2008 We are considering a personal tour proposal from ATA as an alternative to the cruise tour. They seem pretty qualified, but I wanted to get feedback from those who have used the service before. We've received a quote for a half day in Alexandria and a full day in Giza, Memphis and Sakkara; seems less expensive and more personal than the coach tour. Any thoughts would be appreciated. -Joe

lambs2 Posted May 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I found their web site in my research: http://www.ata-tours.net/ We got the best bid from Temo Tours for our CC group's overnight tour in Cairo next February. They have been discussed and rated here on Cruise Critic and on Trip Advisor as easy to deal with and we do not have to pay any deposit to them before we arrive in Egypt, and then 1/2 on day one and then 1/2 on day 2, in US dollars. We will be able to see far more sites for less than half the cost of the ship's tours. I see ATA requires 50% down before the trip. I got five different bids before we selected our company, but I did not try ATA-tours.
