Celebrity Galaxy Refurbishments!!!

When this was officially announced, there was much comment here as to how this compared with Century's refit: $4m for Galaxy, $55m for Century.....

 

We now know why Galaxy's was so small, in comparison: it's the minimum necessary to keep her in trim until she goes to TUI Cruises (who will then do their own refurbishment, of course).

If you go to the Roll call board for the Galaxy May 3rd sailing. You will read that Celebrity did not do everything that was scheduled to be refurbished. The passengers believed thy did enough to keep her looking good until next year when she goes to TUI. It was reported that the windows in the Stratesphere lounge were replaced, new carpeting and new upholstery.

 

What a great size ship, I am sorry to see it go and not really liking these huge megaliners that are being built today.
