if you go to the princess page and pull up the shore excursions, most of them expire august 2008. so will they be updating the page with new excursions ( im sure new prices too) ? so its hard to figure out which excursions to plan for without the newer list.

You need to wait until the specific excursions for your cruise date show up, usually around 75-120 days prior to sailing (on your princess personalizer). What you are seeing now are representatives of what MIGHT be available for those ports or have been available in the past, including the prices. You can't be totally sure until those for your actual sailing are posted and ready to be reserved.

Most stay the same or pretty close. :)

They will update eventually but at least it gives you a general idea.

Yes, as the OP said, you have to wait until the actual excursions are available for your cruise. For instance, for my 10/12/08 cruise, they say they will be available 120 days before sailing. I look every morning just to be sure they don't show up sooner. Patience isn't fun when you are excited about a cruise.

They can show up that early, but for some sailings, they won't show up until about 75 days prior. As you are doing, just keep checking, but don't get your hopes up on the 120 day mark, as it isn't always that early. I think it says that shore excursions CAN show up up to 120 days prior, or some sort of disclaimer like that.

Some who had booked excursions on the SYD / LA Apr 08 cruise got a rude surprise when after boarding they looked at their shipboard acct. and found they had been charged quite a bit more for some excursions than what they had signed up for on-line. There were some angry folks! Having realized their faux pas, the price correction were posted to their accounts. But those who booked on board had to pay the higher price.

We are sailing the South Pacific from Australia with Princess in 5 months time and 2 weeks ago I noticed a reference to shore exursions against my booking. On further investigation it stated that full details of the tours were not yet available, but I was able to get more info from the P&O site which offers the same tours and make some decisions. I then went back to my booking and was able to pre-reserve the tours. My advice, just keep checking!!
