mari 10 Posted April 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Has anyone purchased Celebrity's stateroom decorations? "For festive visual reminders of that special day, Celebrity offers celebratory stateroom decorations to enliven anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons, and every "bon voyage". They list this in their bon voyage selection. it costs $30. I was wondering what do you all get? Thanks, Mari

monibob Posted April 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I'm going on a cruise for the first time....June 05th....with Celebrity. My husband's Birthday is on June 9th, they offered the room to be decorated on his Birthday for $30, they said it's something new that just started April 1st!! As far as how the room is decorated.....they said they would have strimmers, other birthday decorations, and a piece of cake for him. I could pay extra for a whole cake, but opted out!! Princess-of-Quite-alot Posted April 2, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2004 On other cruiselines they crossed 2 streamers up on the ceiling and hung an anniversary or Happy birthday sign. There were a couple of those tissue balls which unfold and hook into a ball hanging from the ceiling. We also got a small cake. It stays up all week. It's cute if you have the extra bucks to blow, but you could also bring your own, and hang a sign on your door when your sweetie is busy or in the bathroom. monibob Posted April 2, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I think I might bring my own as well just in case, I just hope I'll get to sneak away to do it!! Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'll also pay them to do it as well just in case I don't get the chance to do it myself. The more the merrier right? First Cruise Ever!! mari 10 Posted April 2, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I think I'LL SPLURGE. It's for my parents and we're celebrating her birthday (79), his birthday (84), their anniversary (59) and the fact that their last cruise was over 2o years ago. Can't think of any better reasons to celebrate. Mari
