Wowzo - Question please

Mary Ann- I haven't seen Judith Biggs on the boards since their World Cruise. I was concerned that Maxine was alright because the ones who returned to the board here all said there was quite a bit of coughing and viruses onboard this trip. Have you heard from her at all? Just want to know they are okay after such a long trip. Liz

Hi Liz, Yes, I had an hour + phone call from Judy about a week after the cruisers came back. She had a wonderful time and Maxine kept up with everyone even walking from one end of Venice to the other.

They are looking forward to the 2009 RTW cruise, too.

Check the roll call board for the Rotterdam 2009 RTW cruise - she has posted there.

Sorry you could not make the Asia/Pacific this year - we have an anxious group of 47 so far - ready to go !!

Take care, MaryAnn

Hi Liz,

MaryAnn told me to check the boards for your post. My mother and I are well and anxiously awaiting the next world voyage. We had a super time, and except for a fews sniffles, were quite healthy through the whole cruise.

My husband got to join me in Istanbul which was also very nice. He is planning on joining us for a portion of the 09 cruise as well.

We made lots of friends some of which we will see again this coming year. Hope to see you cruising again soon.

Judy

Judy-

Thanks. I can't tell you how many times Max and I hoped that all went well with you both on the World Cruise. So happy to hear Maxine didn't get caught by the bad bugs. More importantly that you both enjoyed it so much. Good for you to do the 2009 trip too. I was watching the Roll Call thread for your posts and nothing came up. That caused us concern because I knew you had said you probably would do it. Is Maxine going again too? What a remarkable lady she is.

Mary Ann- You don't know how many times I have read the roll call thread for the Pacific Rim trip, and just couldn't muster the strength to go back to booking the trip. This last 12 months was such a job for us to get done. The move and the renting for 6 months took a much larger toll than either of us thought would happen. We are going to just stop and enjoy our new settings for all of 2009. We actually remodelled the kitchen as soon as we got the house, plus tore out the driveway to put pavers there and up to the front door. Then we tore out the patio and had that redone and put the patio cover in. Of couse we hired Contractors to do the work. We tentatively added our names to the list for the 2010 World cruise, but when we saw the advance itinerary for the 2010 Mediterranean trip that both you and Judith did, we came right off the WC list and went immediately on the other 53 day trip. We had requested an F cabin on the WC and upgraded to an AA balcony on the shorter trip. That will be it for cruising for us until after the 2010 trip. Turning 70 just was a lot different in the energy department than any other birthday marker for us and we get tired so much easier.

I'll anxiously following you both on the boards and wish you both luck in your journeys. I do envy you both, but I can't push myself to do too much any more. Oh, I'm not decrepit or anything, but we take more naps now than we ever have before. Liz

Liz, could you send me the itinerary for the 2010 Grand Med. trip. I cannot find the advance itinerary anywhere (not even the specialists-they only have the World Cruise). We are trying to find either a World or Grand Cruise for 2010 and want to see all our options before we decide.

You sure have been busy and definitely need awhile to enjoy the house then a nice long cruise. Sounds like a plan to me !!!

Don't just lurk on the roll call - jump in and say Hi - or tell us a ship story, etc.

All the best,

MaryAnn

Hi Liz,

Thanks for thinking of my mother and me. We keep plugging along because we don't care for the alternative. My mother will be doing 2009 and is very excited. My husband will be joining us for a a segment. We are looking at 2010, and are not happy with the Grand world cruise. I too would like to see what the Prinsendam is offering. Our TA has nothing on that yet.

Talk to you soon,

Judy

Judy-

If you check with your TA I think that you will see that the sneak preview just came out. We decided on the Mediterranean but I already said that. We haven't done that cruise yet and of course Max is happy to be going back on the P'dam. I am pleased to hear that you and Maxine are having such a great time. Liz
