Great news! Passports recieved in record time.

I just got my DH, DS, and DD's passport in the mail on Saturday. They were processed in less than 3 weeks. We are quite happy, as I had heard that the back log was 6-8 weeks long...

Now isnt that a relief... one less thing to worry about for 10 years !!!

 

The back log of 6 - 8 weeks was when everyone was panicing and the processing centers got overwhelemd with applications....Right now it is taking 2 - 4 weeks max., with reports as fast as 10 day turn around time for some !!!

 

Have fun traveling ANYWHERE you want to go now beit by air or by sea !

My son's passport took only 8 days!

I think my husband's took 10 days! Couldn't believe it... I think when I applied for mine in 2005 it took 5-6 weeks. Like someone else said, One less thing to worry about!!

I dropped off DD's application on the 17th of May and we rec'd it in the mail on the 24th. I was pretty impressed with that :)

So happy for everyone else.... the process was so smooth!!!! I am just waiting for my passport as it is a renewal that is not quite expired.... I am just hoping Uncle Sam doesn't mind the extra $$

This is weird, one daughters came in after 8 days and the other daughters came in at 9 days. They were both sent at the same time.

5 members of my family recently received theirs after 5 business days(8 days after sending in)! I could not believe it. My in-laws, mailed in at the same time came exactly 14 days later.

I know you can check the status of it at the official passport page. I checked the status of my DD's and it said we would receive it by May 27th and we got it earlier :)

We ordered ours last year to go to Mexico and were told it would take 10 to 12 weeks. For additional fees we could have expedited it. Since we didn't travel until December and started the process in May we declined the extra fee. Yes it took exactly 12 weeks to get them. My picture looks like a mug shot. Wish I could change it.

We got ours today, less than 2 weeks. Pretty good. The kids are cute, I too look like a criminal.
