Private tour driver St Thomas

Anyone have a tip on a private tour driver for St Thomas. Godfrey is booked for our date and we want to take a tour of the island before heading to the beach.

 

I know we can just get off the ship and jump in a taxi, but would appreciate it if anyone has the name of someone they have used in the past that is especially good.

I would try emailing Godfrey back for his recommendation for alternate plans/drivers. I'm betting he would know someone reputable and reasonable in price, too.

We took a taxi downtown (dawn princess oct -4) - they offered us a sightseeing - tour, mountain top, drakes seat and various other stops included + a 2 hours swim at coki beach or saphire beach. we went to coki and it was just great.

we paid 20$ p.p. upon arrival at the dock.

Look for patrick moses he is a real great guy who loves his island and will share a lot of info. His taxi takes about 12 people.

Has anyone had a taxi tour and then had them drop you off at any beach besides Coki, Sapphire or Megans Bay? We were thinking of a little less crowded one.

The taxi tours in the safari buses that take like 20-25 people at a time for 20 bucks often offer one of these three beaches to keep everyone in the same area - makes it easier to take folks all to the same place and pick them up from the same place. But if you want to go somewhere else you certainly can, try to get a driver with a smaller van so he/she is more apt to customize your tour and beach stop... or if its a safari just make sure you say you want to go to this beach at the beginning when negociating the price; if they don't want to take you to that beach because they have 20 people going to Coki for example... they will likely direct you to another driver that can assist.
