miyucruises Posted June 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2008 O.K. ladies, I need your creativity. I am looking for reception ideas. We are doing the two hour luncheon and we will have a lot of family that do not know each other. We want to build some interactive activities into the luncheon. We won't have a DJ or music, so we're not doing a lot of the traditional reception things, first dance, etc. I want it to be light and fun. I am worried that the two hours will drag and people will be sitting and staring at each other.:o

flyerso6 Posted June 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Well I had the same issue and throw in about 15 friends around our age (20 - 25 ) as well. We didn't do the lunch but we did not have any issues of people not talking to one another. Our families ended up spending more time together on the cruise than I thought they would. I wouldn't worry to much about it. But you could always play some games, maybe like bride/groom trivia and have a small prize for the winner.
