Carnival Liberty

Hello fellow cruisers,

Just got back from Carnival Liberty 5-10-08. It was a really good cruise and the ship was beautiful, not so much neon as the older ships.

Just some things fellow cruisers should be aware of:

I have cruised for 15 yrs now and when you buy liquor off the ship they usually take it from you when you get back on board and box it up and leave it in your cabin the last night. This ship did not do that except on the first stop. Be aware that they would not give us a box and would not sell us a box, so the moral is take a backpack or something to carry it off with you. It's a lot easier if they would sell the boxes and they would make money too. They are very rude when you ask, but they don't have a big selection of liquor.

LOCK things in the safe when they are not on your person and you leave your cabin. I got back on the ship in Panama and left my sign and sail card and driver license on the vanity and went to dinner and it was never seen again. Thank goodness I had a passport for a photo id and did not have to fly home.

The night life was always late starting, the disco was given to the crew and teens some nights until midnight or 11:00, so when you eat early it's a long time with nothing to do except the casino and a show. We love the dancers they were the greatest, but we did not go to the other shows.

All in all it was great and I would go on this ship again, there were some other little matters that were lacking from cruises in past but we could live with it and hey the boxing the liquor may be to cruisers advantage, buy a coke and mix your own and save money.

Always make it work for you and have a great time everyone.
