familycruzer Posted June 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2008 Here is a picture of the Explorer in port taken from the Staten Island Ferry. You can see the ship is some distance away from the Statue Of Liberty.
SanNic44 Posted June 6, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2008 You can still see Lady Liberty and it always has an effect on me.:o
138east Posted June 7, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2008 I forgot them last year - NY harbor is definitely an interesting place to have them. They're on my list for next year. When you sail in and out of NY you can actually see the Statue of Liberty for quite a while as well as a zillion other things. It's too bad that RC can't sail up towards the Statue before leaving the harbor. It would be a great selling point!
windjamming Posted June 8, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Yes, they do - on the port side. Try getting up on an upper deck for the best views. Going under the Verrazano is also breathtaking. Have fun!
