Any locals have relatives immigrate through Port of Galveston in the early 1900s?

Mine didn't... they came from Ireland and Germany then to Texas in a covered wagon. I did have an aunt where her mother-in-law and father-in-law first met during their immigration procedures at the quarantine station.

I don't think my great-grandfather immigrated through Galveston...I'm not sure. He was Irish....last name was Creecy. However, he was in Galveston during the great storm in 1900. I don't know many details but it was 4 years before my grandmother was born so I believe it was before he married my great-grandmother. Obviously he was one of the survivors. Maybe I need to do some geneaology work!

Thanks Kat for your always informative links!!
