Illustriouslaz Posted June 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2008 I cruised last year on the NCL Sun and had a wonderful time. Lately NCL have been sending me emails for various sales and promotions they are having and I'm wondering if they are good deals or is it cheaper to go through someone else? Our first NCL cruise was booked through Wal-Marts travel agency which was sold to other company (in the middle of our dealings but everything went well). We received a free upgrade and some credits on the ship. I would love to sail NCL again but just curious if I should look into these sales or another agency. mylesf Posted June 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2008 Most of the offers come from NCL. So you will receive the offer if you book directly with NCL or a travel agent.
Illustriouslaz Posted June 10, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted June 10, 2008 Is it the same price? Are there any advantages to booking direct?
garycarla Posted June 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2008 When you are ready to book, I would check out both options. You will get answers here both ways, some times one way is better, some times the other. Prices move around. Best way is compare when you are ready. CruisinEurope Posted June 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2008 NCL is going to do a "category upgrade" on the 12th. Book an oceanview room, get the best category at the price of the "lowest" one. Same on interiors, balconys. Doesn't apply to suites. This is the only type of "sale" that I've seen thus far... but I'm new and have only been seriously looking at a specific NCL cruise for 2 months now. Maybe they have "bigger and better" offers... but this one sounds pretty good.
