BarCart Posted June 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2008 Hello to all experienced cruisers. We will be taking a Black Sea Cruise in mid October and wonder about the weather conditions, especially the temperature. What type of clothing to bring along? After looking at weather forcasts, especially for that time of year, it seems that the average temperature is anywhere from 18c to 21c so I'm thinking bring along some warmer things for on shore excursions including rain gear. Otherwise, as long as we stay inside, regular clothing is all that's needed. What say you? BarCart
ger_77 Posted June 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2008 We did an Eastern Mediterranean / Black Sea cruise in Oct/06 and were most comfortable in light layers. We brought rain jackets which were used in Bulgaria and Ukraine, but wore t-shirts, capris/shorts and sandals when we were at Dubrovnik. For the most part, dockers, golf shirts/blouses and good walking shoes were the order of the day for men and women. The temps were in the neighbourhood of 18 - 21c which made it very comfortable - no melting down or freezing. Enjoy your cruise - what ports are you stopping at? Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
BarCart Posted June 11, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted June 11, 2008 Thanks for the reply Ger_77. It will be very useful :) Our ports of call will be from Rome to Dubrovnik, Sarande Albania, Argostoli Greece, Istanbul Turkey, Trabazon Turkey, Sochi Russia, Sevastapole Ukraine, Nessabur Bulgaria, Kusadasi Turkey and finally Athens where we plan on spending a few days looking at old real estate. Again, thanks for your reply. BarCart
