Sea Grape - How Deep/Drop Off

We are looking for a good beach to take kids. I know you can rent chairs & umbrellas at Sea Grape (which we do need), but are there life vests available for rent? Or is it shallow for quite a ways out? Is there a better place on 7 Mile for kids, i.e., more shallow? Thanks for your input!

You can look at the webcam for the Royal Palms/Reef Grill and get a pretty good idea what their beach is like. They also offer chairs and umbrellas and have food and drink and showers and changing facilities. Their site is http://www.reefgrill.com and click on the beachcam.

Would you say that Sea Grape is about the same as far as water depth and drop off? Thanks so much!
