Sushi Bar on the Triumph?

When I sailed on the Glory Jan 07. There was a wonderful sushi bar everynight before diner (late seating). Is there one on the Triumph? I read a review that said no...but it was written 2 years ago. Has anyone been on this ship in the last couple of months? I will be so sad if there is not :(

Yes, there is a sushi bar:D

 

And we made ourselves right at home with many trips to it. We sailed just a couple weeks ago, so my info is current. Enjoy!

We were on the Triumph just last week and the sushi bar was open every evening - even before the early dinner seating. It's a "vendor cart" setup located on the main walkway on Deck 5, next to the bar in the casino. The lounge singer/piano player located across the aisle manages to get the word "sushi" into the lyrics of half the songs he sings.

OK, the DH will be happy, but I prefer my fish cooked. I have read about fish n chips places on other boats. Is there one aboard the Triumph?

No fish & chips place on the Triumph. :( We really enjoyed the one on Liberty. It was upstairs in the buffet area and it seemed like most passengers didn't realize it was there. Lines were short and the seafood was great.

The sushi bar on the Triumph is great. Just beware of the WASABI. It is some of the strongest I have tried but, good.:D

 

We will be on the Valor Next November, is there one on there also?:D

The sushi is no extra cost - never had it on Carnival (not a sushi fan), but they have the little cart set up next to the casino every night. Sorry, don't know about California rolls. But I did read on here somewhere that none of the 'sushi' on Carnival is actually 'sushi,' which would lead me to believe that it's all California rolls...

I think all of the "sushi" is really cooked. I don't remember getting anything with big chunks of raw fish in it. Fine with me...I thought it was great. Yes they did have Cali rolls as well. On the Glory it was its own station ...kinda like the deli..not just a cart. We also got our sake there and took it to the casino and had our sake bombs...they had never heard of them and looked at us like we were crazy when we asked for a glass of beer to pour our shots into:D :D

I believe that Sushi refers to it being mad with Rice. Shashimi is the raw fish sushi. Yes there is shashimi (raw fish) on the Triumph. There are also California rolls. My wife only eats California rolls. It is very good on the Triumph.:D

Anyone know about the Valor? We will be on the Valor in November of 09 and want to know if there is a sushi bar on it.:D

Yep, there's the same type of sushi on the Valor! There is also the oh-so-yummy fish and chips restaurant upstairs from the Lido buffet...I still miss it...DH thought all of the fishy concoctions were gross (NOT a seafood fan), but for a seafood lover, there is much to enjoy...:)
