Thomas Exchange (nothing to do with Thomas Cook) offer better rates still, though there's a fiver charge for insured delivery if you can't pick them up in London. Even so, it works out marginally cheaper to use them than Crown Currency, if you're buying about £500 worth (610€), and they deliver in 5 working days. They also offer the advantage that you can get a small amount of each of several currencies - useful to us as we're going to the Baltic, but less useful if you're going to the Med.

 

I haven't used them yet but they have been around a long time. I've often used their website for comparative purposes.
