JADE- Still American Flagged?

Hi Everyone;

 

I caught something odd today... I received my eDocs for an upcoming Jade cruise, and the ships registry was shown as American... I know as Pride of Hawaii, she was American flagged, but wouldn't NCL reflag her as part of the rebranding/renaming?

 

Can a ship be American flagged, but with an international crew? (The Jade isn't visiting any US ports for a while, so perhaps the international crew part is ok?).

When the Pride of Hawaii became the Norwegian Jade in February of this year it changed from American registry to Bahamian registry. The Jade info page on NCL's website lists its registry as the Bahamas. Sounds like the eDocs must not have caught up with the current reality yet. :)

Registered in Nassau now.

She is now registered in the Bahamas - I'd have to agree that the paperwork hasn't been updated as yet.
