Deposit for Service on Credit Cards

Recommended Posts

so here's an interesting piece of info i picked up today from someone who works in the dispute department of a major credit card and i thought I'd share.

A dispute by a customer over a deposit through a credit card are in favor of the customer unless 100% of the services have been rendered.

I've also learned that you may have to (and can) dispute the charge more than once.

It was explained to me that even if 50% of the service has been provided the credit card company should rule in the customer's favor.

Interesting I might need to use this info.. I had a charge from vistaprint rewards on my credit card and I called and cancelled my membership that i unknowingly signed up for when I clicked on the $10 cash back thing.. so don't ever do that!
