KathyW Posted June 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2008 Just a quick question re freedom dining on Ventura. We are a family of 3 booked on N812 (August sailing). Can we just turn up and get a table when we wish to eat or, as I understand, we have to book in advance to get a particular time. Having sailed on Princess in peak season before, we have never had any problems eating when we wish. Is this the case with P&O? Any advice much appreciated. Many thanks. Regards. egit Posted June 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2008 If you want a table just for your family, you will need to book, if you like to share just turn up.

murphyjl Posted June 25, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2008 i was on ventura and went for club dinning. i tried freedom dinning for one night and was glad i had booked club. Freedom service is not as good. i reckon this is down to prepaid tips.
The Monocled Mutineer Posted June 25, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Freedom Dining has its advocates but it is interesting that P&O changed the planned 3 main restaurants configuration from 2 Freedom / 1 Club to 1 Freedom / 2 Club. This would appear to have been borne out by a poll on P&Os CC site where a 2 to 1 preference for Club has been logged. 87 votes (70/30 split). KathyW Hi Kathy, no problem just turning up and getting a table straight away, however when we went at about 8-8.30 we were given a bleeper and told roughly how long the wait would be...usually 20 mins tops. I would advise that you book if you want this time. If you like to eat early there are a queue of waiters waiting to show you to a table, we were a family of 4 and were almost always seated on a table just for us like we requested... KathyW Posted June 27, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted June 27, 2008 Thanks to everyone for advice on freedom dining. At least if they supply pagers, we can go away and get drinks! Many thanks again. Kind regards. KathyW
pudd Posted October 19, 2008 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2008 Does anyone know what the A Deck Inside cabins are like? We were wondering if there is noise from the Lido deck above or if you can hear the pool machinery humming?
