cruisinbb Posted June 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2008 getting conflicking reports, just wanted to know if anyone was recently on Liberty of the Seas, where the ship docked, old san juan pier or pan american pier (way away from OSJ pier)? thanks, bubba
wrp96 Posted June 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2008 You will be at either Pier 3 or Pier 4 - both are in OSJ across from the Sheraton OSJ. Pan Am Pier is only used (now) for cruises that begin or end in San Juan. Before Pier 3 was built, occasionally RCCL ships would end up at the Pan Am Pier if they were in transit on days when there were a lot of ships in port, but Pier 3 was built specifically to stop that problem. nanfromatlanta Posted June 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2008 You will dock in Old San Juan at either Pier 3 or Pier 4 as stated above... ;)

cot427 Posted June 25, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2008 The only way you would dock at the Pan Am pier without leaving from San Juan is if the port gets to crowded because of ships diverting to there. You should be fine since the Liberty is scheduled in San Juan, but when I was on the Navigator a couple of years ago during Hurricane Wilma, we were diverted to San Juan and docked in Pan Am Pier. But you'll definetly dock at Pier 3 or 4 in OSJ.
