Thanks for all the great replies, kind of gives me some idea of what to expect. We are planning on prepaying as much as possible...and we are taking a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera on the Slendor 4/19/09 with about 35 other people in our group...and really looking forward to it.

Ahem. Seriously though... I'm sure there are things on the cruise ship that are trying to reach to a broad audience. When you shop for a car, you shop w/in your means, even though there are Ferraris, Bentleys and Rolls Royces available, too. Doesn't mean you have to buy them because they are out there.

 

This has been a helpful thread and I now know I don't need to bring $3,000 with me to have a good time--or a 25,000 spending limit on my credit card.

 

This is going to be an interesting study--watching people on a cruise ship.
