duncanmaria Posted June 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2008 Well, we've booked our second sailing on the Mariner of the Seas, this time in a Family Oceanview cabin. We have been booking balconies for our last couple of sailings but these FOV's were just released for bookings of less than 5 people at incredible prices - just $52 more than a D1 for the four of us. DD is 12 and DS is 10 (still young enough to take advantage of the mini-bedroom with bunk beds that is featured in this class of cabin) and we figure we could make due without the balcony this time around since this is a "budget" cruise for us and our second family cruise this year. On our last mariner sailing, we stayed in two connecting D1s and we'll miss the baloconies and the extra bathroom but as I mentioned, we're doing this trip on a bit of a budget. So has anybody stayed in this particular cabin lately or have recent photos? I understand that FOV's range from 265-328 square feet and have varying layouts. How does this cabin rate against other FOV's on the Mariner? Can't wait to sail this beautiful ship again!!
duncanmaria Posted June 27, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted June 27, 2008 I noticed that the FOV's on deck eight have a different layout from those on decks 6,7 and 9. Which layout has the most square footage? What are the advantages of each?
