Any good beaches?

After cave tubing, I might have a few hours to kill, are there any nice beaches to relax on or shopping? Would like some advice on what to do for 2-3 hours.

Cave tubing will take most of your port time - don't count on having much left when returned to the tender area. There are shops inside a gated area at the tenders, but friends of ours went outside the gate where its like a flea market and found some good deals. There are no beaches in or close to Belize City - you would have to take a water taxi to get to one and there wouldn't be enough time for that.
