Bike to Chakanaab?

How far is Chakanaab from the port? Is it close enought to ride a bike? Are bike rentals available at the Cozumel port? Does anyone know of the cost? Thanks!

There are three piers in Cozumel, and to my knowledge, no one rents bicycles at any of them. Although you can rent bicycles in Cozumel, it is not a place I would recommend for bicycling. I say that as an expert who lives in Cozumel and does not own a car. I go everywhere by bike. When I arrived on this island 6 and a half years ago, it was a different story. Today, with the amount of traffic, especially near the piers, and with taxi drivers racing to get in as many fares per day, it's just not a pleasure to ride any more.

To answer your question, Chankanaab is about 2 miles from the International and Puerta Maya piers, and about 6 miles from Punta Langosta pier.

Oh! I think that some cruiselines offer a bicycle/snorkel tour. The bike ride is just those two miles to Chankanaab. It is not available outside the cruiseline and may not even be offered anymore. A friend of mine was a guide on that tour a couple of years ago. Otherwise, I haven't heard anything about it.
