Okay, I am now going to attempt to direct you to my photo album with photos from our cruise on the Star to Mexico on 10/04. I have never created an album before or posted them on this site, so we'll see if it works out. Hopefully, they will be interesting, informative, and give you a flavor for the cruise.

You should be able to view them (if I did everything right) at the following web address:

Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks so much for creating that link! We're leaving 10/28 - Can't wait!!!

Any advice on excursions? We've never done this itinerary before so I'm at a complete loss! I printed out the list from the NCL web site, but I need some inside info!!!

Thanks!

Lori, thanks, great pictures. We're going on the 13th of November, so you gave us quite a show of what we're going to see. Terrific!

I do have one question, did you by any chance use the photo shop on board to develop and/or transfer to a CD your memory card? If so, what are their prices?

Thanks again for the great pictures.

Mike and Chris,

I did not use the photo shop on board ship, so I don't know about the prices. I just kept all my photos in my camera and downloaded when I got home. I have a 256 mb memory card in my camera, so I think it can hold quite a few pictures. I took about 100 photos total.

Thanks for sharing the great pictures of your cruise and of the Star. We leave November 21st, for the eight day Mexican Riviera cruise, balcony stateroom, the casino looks good. We cruised eight days on the Carnival Spirit Oct. 2003, the same locations, except for Manzanillo, which we liked best of all. Oh well can't have everything. Looks great to us.

Thanks lomo for all the great pictures. You have inspired me. We just bought our first digital camera. I wonder if I should just return it and buy your pictures! Just kidding...

Now for my question. Please tell me about your process of getting to the Acapulco Princess. Did you take a taxi and how much should it cost? How much time does it take to get there with the traffic? We are thinking of getting a day use room there so that we can use the facilities for the day. We were going to go on an excursion but from the comments of other posters we feel that this might be a mistake and a waste of money. Our thought is to spend the day at the Acapulco princess, have treatments in the spa, go back to the Star for dinner and then see an evening show with the cliff divers. Please tell me what you think. Thanks and again GREAT JOB! ss

Seashore,

Thanks for the compliments on my photos. My camera and the software made it so easy and it makes me look like a pro.

I went to the Acapulco Princess on the City Tour of Acapulco, so I really just walked around there. If you want information on how to get there and how to use their facilities (I don't have that information), I would suggest that you go the message board where Roberto from the Acapulco Port Authority has a thread going. To get to it (in case you don't know), go to the Ports of call section, click on Mexican Riviera, and you should see a thread for the Acapulco Port Authority. Roberto works at the Port Authority, gives lots of useful information, and helps people organize tours and reservations, etc. He is incredible. Plus there is a lot of useful information on his thread.

I hope you have a really good time and if you have other questions, please let me know.

How did you like the Star? Did you have a balcony? How was the food?

I liked the cruise and the Star very much. I wrote a review when I came back that is somewhere on this board. I think I titled "Just Back from Star - 10/04" It should give you a good idea of my thoughts on the cruise. Yes, I had a balcony and I did enjoy the food. I really had a great time.
